what do you think about quality of rakı after privatization?

You know many kind of local raki emerged in the market in turkey in the past it was produced by the government. Do you think raki lost its quality a bit after privatization ? Note : Raki is a popular alcoholic drink.

  3. absolutely gotten better Burgaz sux but Izmir raki with yerllow label is delicious indeed
  4. yes and no after privatazation they increased the Alchal level wich made it better if you wan't to get high.I recomend you just go with Istanblue wich in my taste is best Ps:Irmak do I feel a bit of Communism in you?
  5. good, because it is against islam, and we (Turkeys) hate non-muslim activities
  6. Much better! Competition has always been better for the quality of products. Planned economy sucks! Thanks to Raki, more people got aware of this fact... Cheers Bix
  7. Haram question. Turk Muslim no drink raki.
  8. Definitely the quality has risen. I am not a fan of raki and I do not drink it often. However, my favorite is Tekirdağ Altin Seri. It is a very high quality raki, the aroma is well balanced, and it is soft on the palate. This raki is made from fresh grapes only, double distilled, taken from the middle of the pot, and aged in quality oak casks. edit: Istanblue is vodka, not raki, therefore it cannot be compared here. Irmak maybe right to prefer state-owned industry. However, in this case, the state monopoly, which produced raki for decades, discarded people's tastes and produced poor quality drinks.
